Why it works

Perfect for design-conscious coffee lovers, it brings together premium functionality and considered aesthetics in one compact package.

Available in two colourways — the muted mint green and the goes-with-everything beige — it allows you to enjoy your favourite drinks with just one touch of a button, and you can choose from a rich menu of cafe classics, whether you love filter coffee, flat whites or cold brew.

One of my favourite features of the machine is the level of customisation.

You can choose from three different intensity levels, program the size and adjust to three temperature settings, so your extra hot strong small oat flat white is as close to how a barista would make it as it can be.

The De’Longhi machine also has two switchable hoppers, so you can easily explore different coffee flavours with the Bean Switch System.

It’s super easy to use with a large intuitive touch control panel, and, crucially, it looks sleek and stylish on your benchtop.

Rave reviews

Those who have already got their hands on the machine have raved about it on the De’Longhi website, where it has a 4.7 star rating.

“Extremely simple to use, including being able to easily dial in different beans,” writes one reviewer.

“It’s not as exact as a manual machine, but that’s a minor price to pay for the convenience of having beautiful coffee that you’re drinking within five minutes. I’ve had a manual machine for the last seven or eight years as a hobby but now I’m loving having as good coffee at one tenth of the effort.”

Another adds: “A magnificent coffee machine”.

The coffee machine is relatively new to market and it’s available from De’Longhi, Amazon Australia and Myer.

Coffee facts

New research from De’Longhi Australia reveals nearly nine in ten (87%) coffee drinkers would sacrifice lifestyle perks for a year before giving up coffee, while 27% would ditch alcohol to keep their daily brew.

The Australian Coffee Culture Report uncovers the habits, rituals and evolving preferences of coffee drinkers shaping our national coffee obsession.

And it shows how much people love coffee over booze, with 27% saying they would give up alcohol for a year rather than sacrifice their daily coffee.

An impressive 56% of respondents say they can’t function or start their day without coffee, while 45% consider their first cup essential, but more than half (55%) would rather skip coffee altogether than drink one they don’t enjoy.
