Celestica Soars on $40bn 2027 Outlook

Bar chart of Celestica third-quarter revenue: $3.19bn a year earlier, guidance of up to $5.55bn, actual $5.83bn

Celestica (NYSE: CLS) beat its own third-quarter guidance and set a first 2027 revenue outlook of $40.0bn, and its shares were up about 15% in after-hours trading today. The results landed after the US close, so the jump is the market’s first reaction.

The shares had closed today down 5.14% at $246.65, just above the 52-week low of $244.51 set on the 9th of March and about 48% below the $474.03 high of the 2nd of June.

Third-quarter revenue was $5.83bn, up 83% from $3.19bn a year earlier and above the company’s guidance of $5.25bn to $5.55bn. Revenue at its CCS segment rose 102% to $4.87bn.

Adjusted EPS, a non-GAAP measure that leaves out items the company excludes from standard accounting profit, was $3.30 against $1.58 a year earlier and guidance of $2.88 to $3.08. Adjusted operating margin rose to 8.5% from 7.6%.

Celestica raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $21.0bn from $20.5bn and adjusted EPS to $11.55 from $11.30. For 2027 it forecast revenue of $40.0bn, up 90%, adjusted EPS of $21.50 and an adjusted operating margin of 9.0%. The jump appears to reflect the beat and the 2027 outlook.

Rob Mionis, Chair and CEO, said demand supported that forecast:

The demand environment continues to be very robust, supporting our 2027 revenue outlook, with customer demand forecasts meaningfully higher for 2028.

Rob Mionis, Chair and CEO, Celestica

There are caveats. Celestica cut its 2026 free cash flow outlook to $460m from $600m, primarily because of targeted working-capital investment to support growth in 2027, and expects 2027 capital spending of $1.5bn to $2.0bn. It also completed a public offering in August with aggregate gross proceeds of $3.45bn.

Fourth-quarter guidance is revenue of $6.275bn to $6.575bn and adjusted EPS of $3.37 to $3.57. Celestica holds its call and investor day tomorrow at 12:00 UK time (8:00am ET).
