I’m Seeing Fringe on Everything This Fall, and This Anthropologie Cardigan Might Be My Favorite Find Yet

Fringe has been pretty much unavoidable for me lately. Anyone else? What was once only synonymous with Coachella during the 2010s has officially made its way into everyday fashion. But what really gets me is just how many things it’s showing up on. From tops and skirts to purses and even socks (I swear I’m not making this up), it’s popping up on just about everything. And it makes sense: We’ve been seeing it on runways for the past few seasons, right alongside the boho revival that’s brought bandana prints, tassel necklaces, and tiered maxi skirts back into the spotlight. Now, the swishy detail is making its way onto our fall and winter cardigans, too.

These days, I’m seeing so many fun versions that go beyond the predictable styles. Some have fringe just along the hem, while others go all out with fringe covering half the cardigan or an asymmetrical design. It’s not just a cute little add-on anymore; it’s become a more intentional detail that gives cardigans a fashion-forward look.

And out of all the fringe cardigans I’ve seen on the internet, Anthropologie’s is the one I can’t stop thinking about. First of all, it’s basically a giant, cozy wearable blanket that’s chic enough to wear out of the house (which is always a win in my book). I love the cape-like design, another big trend in 2026, which gives it that drapey, oversized look. The longline silhouette is also perfect for keeping warm as the temps drop. And, of course, the fringe trim takes what could’ve been a basic duster cardigan and makes it feel so much more elevated.

I found way too many good ones to stop at just one. Shop more of my favorite styles here:
