Xiaomi’s being a real tease, but there’s good news for us all: the Xiaomi 18 Pro series is officially coming to Singapore, and sooner than we’d expect.
As seen on its official social platforms (like Facebook), Xiaomi Singapore said the Xiaomi 18 Pro series, which includes the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, is coming to Singapore in November 2026. Previously, Xiaomi only said the series would have an international release this year.
The confirmation of Xiaomi’s 18 Pro series’ entry into Singapore also means this is the first time the brand is bringing its rear-display phone model to our market. While it previously had the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, that was a China-only model (with a China-only ROM) that saw a limited release.
What to expect from Xiaomi’s rear display phone
We have previously tried the device when Xiaomi asked us to attend their Beijing keynote. Given the inclement weather during the trial, this is another opportunity for the HWZ Editorial team (hopefully in better weather) to explore the Pro Max’s Leica-tuned dual 200MP rear cameras (main, telephoto).
Our time with the device was also limited, since the unboxing and photowalk used an engineering sample and not a retail-ready version of the 18 Pro Max. The retail units we saw at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2026 were for the Mainland Chinese market, and available phones were scarce, so we could only briefly explore the rear display and experiment with the phone’s Privacy Display.
Our TikTok clip of the China-version Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is here, while the engineering sample unboxing is below.
We will update with official pricing, configurations, and purchase bonuses once its announced. Stay tuned.
