People driving near downtown Rock Hill Thursday should expect some delays as President Donald Trump appears at a Republican rally at the Rock Hill Sports & Events Center.
The venue is at 326 Technology Center Way, off West White Street between main thoroughfares Dave Lyle Boulevard and Constitution Boulevard, east of Cherry Road.
Doors open at 9 a.m. and Trump speaks at 12:30 p.m. It is unclear how many people will attend, but previous Trump rallies in Rock Hill in 2016 and 2024 drew thousands of people.
Rock Hill police said in a statement Wednesday afternoon drivers in the area near the events center should anticipate “minor delays” and allow for additional travel time through at least 3 p.m.
Sgt. Johnathan Gilbert of the York County Sheriff’s Office told The Herald deputies will be visible assisting on Thursday.
Rock Hill police said any updates Thursday on traffic would be released through the department’s social media.
