Nancy Cartwright has turned a Starbucks coffee run into a hilarious The Simpsons moment. The actress, best known for voicing Bart Simpson, surprised an employee by ordering coffee in Nelson Muntz’s voice. She shared the clip on X, giving fans a glimpse of her voice-acting skills outside the recording booth.
Cartwright posted the video on her official X account with the caption, “Nelson Muntz ordering at Starbucks would be chaos?” The interaction begins with a seemingly ordinary coffee order before Cartwright reveals her character’s identity, leaving the employee delighted.
Nancy Cartwright has plenty of other Simpsons voices up her sleeve
Cartwright first tells the employee, “Hi, yeah, I’m from the city of Springfield. Can you still take my order?” She then requests a tall half-calf soy latte at 120 degrees, with 10 pumps of vanilla and extra whipped cream. After placing her order, Nancy asks the employee for his name.
After he introduces himself as Ernie, she adopts Nelson’s voice and declares, “Nelson Mandela-Muntz, enemy of Bart Simpson.” The employee quickly recognizes the impression and asks, “Is that your natural voice?” Cartwright follows up by asking whether he is a fan of the show. He responds enthusiastically, “Oh my God, that is so cool. No wonder when you said Springfield, I was like, wait. I grew up watching it with my uncle, yeah. That is so awesome.”
Cartwright then asks whether the coffee shop accepts food stamps. After the employee explains that it does not, she praises him, saying, “Oh, you’re a good player. Good sport.” She later adds, “Oh yeah, spread the love.”
In addition to voicing Bart Simpson since the show’s inception in 1989, Cartwright also voices Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, and Maggie Simpson in the long-running animated series. Cartwright’s latest video highlights that versatility while inviting fans to choose her next drive-through character.
