Shemar Moore has credited surgery with helping him overcome a long-standing concern about his feet. The actor revealed that he underwent three operations to address severe bunions, which had made him reluctant to show his feet in public.

During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Moore brought up the subject, saying that he kept his feet covered because he was unhappy with their appearance. “They ain’t seen the light of day because Shemar Moore has some ugly-ass feet,” he said, drawing laughter.

The actor added, “They are so bad. I’ve had three surgeries for real on my feet because God took a nap when he was making my feet. And so I had that bunion thing, that whole bump on the side.”

Moore said the condition became particularly noticeable when he wore dress shoes. After removing a new pair, he recalled, “You didn’t know which was the left one, which was the right one.” He continued, “You didn’t know which way they was pointing.”

He added that the surgeries eventually improved the appearance of his feet. Moore joked that his podiatrist “got in there and toned it down,” leaving him with feet that were “presentable.” He added, “So now they’re presentable… Now I can walk by the pool, go on the beach.”

His feet had also been a source of concern during his earlier modeling career. Moore recalled appearing in a shirtless beach advertisement and deliberately pressing his toes into the sand “so you couldn’t see my little bunions.”

The actor has previously acknowledged his treatment on social media, where he thanked surgical podiatrist Dr. Robert J. Joseph for helping correct what he described as his “f***ed up” feet. He referred to the doctor as a “magician” for his work.
