A Wynn hotel-casino employee has accused resort management of questioning her about union-organizing efforts and encouraging her to retire, the latest in a series of retaliation and surveillance allegations against the Strip resort.
The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 501 filed a charge Oct. 22 with the National Labor Relations Board’s Phoenix regional office. The case remains open, according to the agency’s docket. The charge alleges unlawful interrogation, retaliation related to concerted activity and coercive actions including surveillance.
In a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a Wynn Resorts spokesperson said the company “vehemently den(ies) these allegations. They are unsubstantiated, and we are confident that a review of the facts will show they are without merit.”
