On Tuesday afternoon, the Modern Family alum was seen exiting Diamond Skin Spa in Beverly Hills while in one of her more understated off-duty looks. Traditionally, even when she’s not hitting a red carpet or filming an episode of America’s Got Talent, the Emmy nominee still tends to favor sparkly maxi dresses, statement prints, or dramatic outerwear. But here, Vergara opted instead for a bit of cool band merch.

While all the stars recently seem to have a new obsession with sporting merch, the Colombian star still managed to surprise us with her gray graphic tee printed with the artwork from Nirvana’s third and final studio album, In Utero. (This was the last album the alternative rock band released before lead singer Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994.) Now I’m dying to see Vergara’s Spotify Wrapped.
To match the smoky tone of her shirt, the actor carried an Intrecciato bag from Bottega Veneta in a similarly steely hue, while slipping into a pair of light-wash barrel jeans. Finally, she accessorized with a set of black sunglasses and some inky Bonita sandals from Aquazzura.
As demonstrated by everyone from Beyoncé to Olivia Rodrigo, a vintage music tee can serve as the perfect centerpiece to any outfit. Of course, it helps when you’ve got a few quietly luxe accessories to tie everything together.
