Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Bayern Munich lead Europe’s biggest crowds

Borussia Dortmund occupy the top two positions, with 81,365 supporters attending both their 1-0 Bundesliga victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on October 24 and their 3-2 DFB-Pokal win over Werder Bremen three days later.

Both fixtures attracted Signal Iduna Park’s maximum capacity of 81,365, highlighting the consistent strong support that Dortmund have.

The Milan derby produced the third-highest attendance, as 77,691 fans watched AC Milan defeat Inter 3-1 at San Siro. The result made the occasion even more memorable for the Rossoneri supporters, who saw their side claim local bragging rights.

Der Klassiker was another major attraction, with 75,024 spectators watching Bayern Munich draw 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena on Halloween. That figure was marginally higher than the 75,000 who attended Bayern’s 6-1 cup victory over Magdeburg a few days earlier. The matches also came shortly after English striker Harry Kane was named the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner.

Inter’s 2-1 comeback win against Fiorentina also drew a substantial crowd, with 74,642 at San Siro on October 25. Atletico Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna attracted 68,674 to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, making it the biggest Spanish attendance outside the Barcelona-Real Madrid meeting.

England also made the list through West Ham’s 2-3 defeat to Southampton, which attracted 62,250 fans to the London Stadium. The attendance was particularly notable given the fixture was a Championship meeting, making it stand out among the other top-flight matches on the list.

At the bottom of our table, Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid was played out in front of 62,055 fans while Roma’s 4-2 win over Cagliari brought 61,780 supporters through the Stadio Olimpico doors.
