North Carolina’s Division II, Division III and junior college football programs will take center stage today (Saturday, Oct. 24), with 12 of the day’s 15 games involving teams from those levels.
Only one North Carolina FBS team is in action Saturday. UNC will host Syracuse under the lights at Kenan Stadium. Appalachian State and East Carolina played Thursday, while Duke and NC State hit the road Friday. Wake Forest and Charlotte have the weekend off.
The FCS schedule is also light, with No. 13 Campbell traveling to Maine in search of its fifth consecutive victory and Western Carolina hosting Chattanooga. North Carolina Central played Friday, while Elon, Davidson, North Carolina A&T and Gardner-Webb are idle.
That leaves plenty of attention for the state’s smaller programs. Conference championship races continue in the CIAA and Conference Carolinas, while Methodist and North Carolina Wesleyan meet in Division III action.
Louisburg College, the state’s last unbeaten college team, puts its 7-0 record on the line with a trip to Hocking College in Ohio.
Below is today’s complete North Carolina college football schedule, including kickoff times, broadcast information and links to games already played earlier in the week.
