The first version of Director Mode is now available on the Apple App Store. I wrote an article about the Beta version of the app last month.

Director Mode is an app for multicamera productions. It was designed by Claudio Ripalti, a filmmaker and lighting engineer based in Florence, Italy. The iPhone and iPad app was specifically built for monitoring and controlling select Canon and Sony cameras. It provides low-latency live views, camera settings, and recording controls in one working environment.

Designed for smaller crews and solo operators, the app supports Canon Cinema EOS, Canon EOS R, Sony Alpha, and Sony FX cameras. Users can work with different camera systems through a consistent interface while retaining access to the controls each model supports.
With the Pro version, operators can monitor up to four simultaneous camera feeds, open individual camera controls, and use REC ALL to start and stop recording across connected cameras. Two-, three-, and four-camera layouts keep each angle and its recording status in view.
Direct USB-C connectivity is available for supported Canon EOS R cameras, including the EOS R6 Mark III and EOS R5 Mark II, using Director Mode Pro on an iPhone or iPad with a USB-C port.
USB-C connectivity for Sony cameras is also available in Basic. Wi-Fi and, on Canon Cinema EOS models, LAN provide additional connection options.

Pro version monitoring tools include a waveform monitor, focus peaking, custom LUTs, picture overlay, and anamorphic de-squeeze. On supported Sony models, an app-based shutter angle mode adjusts shutter speed as recording frame rate changes.
A camera browser, vertical control console, multicamera view and landscape monitor give operators different ways to work from the same device.
Pricing & Availability
