Hong Kong secures five-year deal to host Vinexpo Asia

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and global event organiser Vinexposium have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) locking in Hong Kong as the exclusive host city for Vinexpo Asia for five consecutive years, running from 2027 to 2031.

Previously held in the city on an alternate-year basis, the Asia-Pacific region’s flagship wine and spirits trade exhibition will move to an annual format. The first edition under the new agreement is scheduled for June 8 to 10, 2027, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The partnership aims to scale up the tradeshow into a broader citywide event. HKTB and Vinexposium are planning activations across key dining and lifestyle districts, featuring curated food-and-wine pairings, tastings, and networking events highlighting producers from Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific.

“Hong Kong’s role as the exclusive host city of Vinexpo Asia for five consecutive years reinforces the city’s position as Asia’s leading wine and spirits trading hub,” said Peter Lam, HKTB’s chairman.

Philippe Tapie, elected member of the Bordeaux Gironde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that making Hong Kong the event’s permanent annual home provides “continuity and certainty” for international producers and buyers planning long-term growth across Asian markets.
