ARB will advertise the new product with a NASCAR sponsorship
ARB Interactive has unveiled a new “super app” called the Modo Super Gaming App which combines sweepstake casino, rips and soon prediction markets.
The business, behind famous direct marketing company Publishers Clearing House and sweepstake casino Modo, will be combining its offering into a single interface.
It follows several other gaming operators in the US – notably Betr and DraftKings – creating “super apps” which tend to combine different offerings such as DFS+, sportsbooks, and prediction markets into a single wallet.
This theoretically allows operators to cater their product to consumers based on existing regulatory frameworks, ensuring they are able to play with whatever is legally available in each state.
Patrick Fechtmeyer, ARB Interactive CEO, said: “Players shouldn’t need five different apps to enjoy five different ways to play. We’ve built a business serving millions of players, but our ambition is much bigger.
“We want Modo to be America’s destination for gaming, bringing more products and experiences together under one account and one wallet. We’re proudly American-owned and operated, we’ve built our technology from the ground up, and we’re just getting started.”
The move will combine ARB’s existing Social+ product – another term used to describe sweepstakes casinos – Modo Arcade, with its new product Modo Rips, which features “sought after grail cards, rare finds and one-of-one pulls”.
The business plans to market the launch during the NASCAR Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, with Modo branding featuring across the Craftsman Truck Series and Cup Series through activations with Team Reaume and Spire Motorsports.
Modo did not say how it intended to launch prediction markets or through which vehicle.
Launching real money prediction markets in the US requires them to be cleared to act as a Designated Contract Market (DCM), a process that typically takes between one and two years without M&A.
