The two-day Quilt Show kicked off Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Beloit Historical Society, 845 Hackett Street. On display are works of art from the museum’s collection, as well as from The Rasey House.

Visitors can explore different quilts with a wide variety of design styles and techniques. Along with gaining inspiration for their next project, attendees learn the rich history behind the artwork and the people who constructed them.

Certain women’s vintage fashion pieces are also on display.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, longtime quilter and museum professional Donna Langford holds a presentation called “Caring for Your Textiles: Museum Methods on a Household Budget,” in which she shares tips on how to preserve textiles at home.

Organizers say vintage textiles donated by community members are on sale at the event.

Those who missed the first day can still visit the Beloit Historical Society from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, and enjoy the event. Admission is a suggested donation toward the museum’s community services fund.
