No cleats were in sight at the 70th Ballon d’Or Ceremony on Monday, but soccer’s biggest stars walked the red carpet at the Palladium Theatre in London wearing their fanciest shoes. Harry Kane took home the 2026 Men’s Ballon d’Or, making him the first Englishman to win the award in 25 years. Meanwhile, Alexia Putellas won the 2026 Women’s Ballon d’Or. The guests at the event were in attendance in several capacities, like musical guests who performed, such as Jorja Smith, Burna Boy, and French Montana.
There were also presenters like Sophie Turner and Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldo, who won the Ballon d’Or twice in his career in 1997 and 2002, and remains the youngest player to ever take home the trophy. Other big names in soccer who were dressed to the nines at the event included Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, Marc Cucurella, Vozinha and more. Take a look at the shoes they wore to the event.
