Another Halloween means another round of celebrity costumes. Every year, actors, artists, and public figures go all out for the holiday, sparing no expense and taking no shortcuts to seeing their vision through. Whether sourcing pieces of fashion history, creating custom avant-garde ensembles, or focusing on transforming themselves through hair and makeup, we’ve seen familiar faces turn into, well, unfamiliar faces. And this year has proven no different.

Kicking things off over a week early, Kim Kardashian—who has been known to take the holiday quite seriously, whether embracing her law aspirations as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde or working with artist Alexis Stone on a scaly albino alligator costume—shared photos teasing her 2026 fit on October 20. For this year, she channeled her own daughter, North West, and dressed up in the 13-year-old’s signature grunge style (ice-blue wig and all).

Another champion of Halloween, Paris Hilton continued her streak of dressing up as fellow Y2K icon Britney Spears. In past years, she’d done the red leather suit from the “Oops!…I Did It Again” music video, the schoolgirl fit from “…Baby One More Time,” and the flight attendant ensemble from “Toxic,” and here, she went for the iconic 2001 VMAs snake getup.

Elsewhere, Benito Skinner and Owen Thiele went as today’s pop girls, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson, Cyndi Lauper performed as The Little Mermaid‘s Ursula at the New York Restoration Project’s annual Hulaween gala, and Victoria Justice went goth for her own Halloween party.
