Tate McRae Out-Angels the Angels at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Tate McRae delivered a show-stopping performance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to celebrate her new single, ““Housewife”.”

The 23-year-old singer performed second in the lineup, appearing in a glistening red lingerie set and scarlet stilettos. Opening with her song Housewife, McRae delivered a razor-sharp dance routine with 10-plus backup dancers, all wearing a similar red lingerie set. Closing out the song, McCrae took the stage alone to sing the melody and introduce Gigi Hadid and the second wave of models. The singer followed this new single with one of her all-time hits, “Dear God,” from her third album So Close to What, bringing back her ensemble of backup singers.

McCrae stayed on stage while the second wave of models walked the runway, now lit with amber lighting. Her flowing, sheer red wings floated behind her as she strutted the runway singing “Sports Car,” the third single off So Close to What.

McCrae released So Close to What on February 21, 2025, before dropping the deluxe edition, So Close to What???, in November 2025. Bazaar spoke to McCrae in February 2025 about the album, and she emphasized that the world still hasn’t seen close to all she has to offer. “I feel like I have so much to share with the world that hasn’t been seen yet, from at least just me and my [dancing] past,” she said at the time. “It just needs to be the right moment.”

“Housewife” dropped on October 15, accompanied by a video directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti. The video featured McRae as a housewife living it up on a luxury yacht and sitting by a crystal-blue pool on a sprawling estate. In an inversion of the traditional housewife narrative, McRae proclaims that she wishes to be rich enough to be her own housewife. The song is the lead single of the artist’s fourth studio album.
