Street Fighter’s Mid-Credits Scene Isn’t Like Your Typical Marvel Post-Credits Scene

Street Fighter might have just set up something massive that most audiences will miss entirely. The 2026 video game adaptation has a hidden surprise that could reshape the entire franchise moving forward.

Does Street Fighter have any post-credits scenes at the end?

The Street Fighter movie arrives in theaters today, October 16, and audiences should stay through the credits. Notably, the film features one mid-credits scene that teases a potential sequel.

Specifically, the animated mid-credits sequence shows M. Bison, Cammy, and Vega approaching Sagat. The scene suggests they are recruiting him into their villainous group. Furthermore, this aligns with the film’s ending, which sees Bison’s troops recover Akuma’s body before the heroes can intervene.

Meanwhile, the movie follows Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Ken Masters, played by Noah Centineo. They enter the World Warrior Tournament after Chun-Li recruits them. Callina Liang stars as Chun-Li, an undercover Interpol agent seeking to avenge her father’s death. Additionally, David Dastmalchian portrays the villainous M. Bison, the dictator behind the tournament’s deadly conspiracy.

The film also stars Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as the deity Akuma. Cody Rhodes plays the fighter Guile, while Jason Momoa takes on the role of Blanka. Moreover, Andrew Schulz plays Ken’s manager Dan Hibiki. Vidyut Jammwal portrays the flexible fighter Dhalsim. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson rounds out the main cast as the boxer Balrog.

Beyond that, the supporting cast includes Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda. Mel Jarnson plays Cammy, while Rayna Vallandingham appears as Juli. Alexander Volkanovski portrays the kickboxer Joe, and Kyle Mooney plays Martin.

Looking ahead, director Kitao Sakurai confirmed a sequel is currently being written. However, its development depends on audience reception and box office performance. The film is tracking for a $70 million global opening weekend against its $82 million budget. Sakurai directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with T.J. Fixman. Legendary Pictures produced the adaptation alongside Capcom, with Paramount Pictures distributing theatrically.
