Sophie Turner stepped back into the spotlight for a short time on Tuesday following a monthslong hiatus from the cameras.
The “Game of Thrones” star made her return at the Louis Vuitton spring 2027 presentation, arriving alongside Zendaya, Lisa, Keri Russell and more with a statement-making hairdo.

Clad in a tricolor leather jacket, Turner traded her milk chocolate hair for a burnt espresso pour that seems to be the hair color of choice this season, especially among the upper echelons of the spring shows. Only instead of letting the shade swap speak for itself like both Hailey Bieber and Ella Bright have, Turner texturized the transformation with voluminous barrel curls straight from the big book of ’80s beauty.

Paired with an all-leather ensemble, pants and pointed-toe pumps included, the hair screamed ’80s rom-com star, the curls falling toward her face in a single swift motion. The architect behind Turner’s color and curls has not yet been revealed; however, the “Dark Phoenix” actress has previously tapped celebrity stylist Christian Wood, whose A-list clientele also includes Mia Goth and Sarah Pidgeon.

The last time Turner turned up in front of the cameras was at a St-Germain pop-up in Cannes this past July. Here, her hair was a much lighter shade of brown — a sweet chestnut, if you will. The espresso she’s touting now is richer and right on trend.
Back in August, hair artist Cody Renegar predicted a burgeoning affinity for “deep chocolate browns” this fall, along with the continued rise of “espresso melt,” a color technique that involves blending dark roots with subtle highlights. And after Bieber, Bright and “Off Campus” star Mika Abdalla have all debuted similar dark brown shades, it’s clear Renegar with was correct.
At the same time, Billie Eilish unveiled a hue change of her own, sharing a mirror selfie of her with caramel-ginger coloring on Instagram. Her ends, previously an espresso shade, were now chopped just below her chin and painted in a seasonal cocktail consisting of smooth blond and snickerdoodle tones — it was as if she’d ordered one of everything from the fall color menu, though it’s not certain whom she ordered it from.
