rhode, the beauty brand founded by Hailey Bieber, has announced a three-year, $5 million grant and partnership with the Foundation for Women’s Health (FWH) through its philanthropic initiative, rhode futures fund. The commitment will support medical research and initiatives advancing women’s health research, education and care.
rhode describes the gift as among the largest to an independent nonprofit dedicated to women’s health research. The partnership pairs research funding with investment in companies developing treatments and diagnostics, extending its support from the lab toward real-world care.

Addressing Gaps in Women’s Health Research
FWH is a nonprofit research fund established to close longstanding gaps in women’s health research. Its work spans the female life cycle, from adolescence through menopause and beyond, identifying understudied and underfunded questions and funding rigorously evaluated research proposals.
According to rhode, research institutions across the United States have submitted proposals in chronically underfunded areas, including pregnancy and postpartum health and autoimmune conditions. Grant recipients and their focus areas will be announced next year.
rhode notes that women’s health remains one of the most underfunded areas in medicine and research, and that private investment is increasingly needed as federal research support faces setbacks.
$1 Million for a New Evergreen Fund
Of the total commitment, $1 million will establish the Foundation for Women’s Health Evergreen Fund. The fund uses a venture philanthropy model that reinvests each dollar over time, creating a lasting source of support.

It will invest in women’s health companies developing therapeutics and diagnostics in areas including maternal and adolescent girls’ health — helping turn research into new ways to diagnose and treat women.
A New Name for rhode’s Philanthropic Initiative
Alongside the partnership, rhode confirmed that rhode futures foundation has become rhode futures fund. As part of e.l.f. Beauty, which acquired the brand in 2025, rhode is contributing to collective efforts to donate 2% of net profits to meaningful causes, including initiatives that empower women.
The brand’s earlier commitments have focused on mothers, caregivers and families. Between 2025 and 2026, its Support for Moms Fund contributed $2 million to a national network of 10 organizations providing guaranteed income and other resources across the United States. Following the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, rhode also committed $1 million to local organizations providing emergency cash assistance to mothers, caregivers and families displaced or deeply affected by the fires.
The FWH partnership extends that work into the research and medical infrastructure behind women’s health. Pairing a multiyear grant with a fund built to reinvest capital creates a framework for support beyond a single funding cycle. Learn more at rhodeskin.com.
