Samsung is making its Clock app easier to use with one hand in One UI 9.5. A fresh leak shows the company moved a couple of key controls in the World Clock section closer to the bottom of the screen. This is a small tweak, though it could come in handy on larger Galaxy phones.
One UI 9.5 brings World Clock controls within thumb reach
SamMobile has shared early screenshots of the Clock app running on upcoming One UI 9.5. The changes mainly focus on button placement in the World Clock globe view.
In One UI 9, the Search and Current Location buttons sit together in the top-right corner of the screen. As such, you need to struggle to reach them with your thumb, mainly on large phones like the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Thankfully, One UI 9.5 addresses this issue. The company has moved both controls to the bottom-right corner as floating buttons.
As a result, the top header is now left with only the back button, which gives a cleaner look. Moreover, you can search for a city or go to your current location without stretching your fingers.
Apart from this tweak, the Clock app interface remains largely the same. The pill-shaped navigation bar at the bottom still houses tabs for Alarm, World Clock, Stopwatch, and Timer. As such, you can access core functionality easily.
It is worth mentioning that the Clock is not the only app getting this treatment. Samsung Calendar app in One UI 9.5 also moves its search button from the top of the screen to the bottom-right corner.
It looks like Samsung wants to apply the same design approach to other first-party apps. We’ll find out more once the beta goes live.
Speaking of which, the One UI 9.5 beta program could be just a few weeks away. The first beta build for the Galaxy S26 Ultra recently appeared on Samsung’s servers. So, the company could kick off the program later this month or in early December, with the Galaxy S26 series likely picking it up first.
