Anna Lambe and Mary Lynn Rajskub return to Ice Cove in Netflix‘s official trailer for North of North Season 2. The new season arrives more than a year after the comedy series premiered. It will see Lambe’s Siaja continue her struggle to prove herself in her Arctic community.
North of North Season 2 will explore pilimmaksarniq, an Inuktitut concept centered on mastering skills through observation, practice, and effort. As she embraces the concept, Siaja will forge new relationships at the community center and navigate family tensions. The new season’s synopsis also teases that she will have to be “open to the possibility of love — or at the very least, a hot date.”

What happens in the North of North Season 2 trailer?
The North of North Season 2 trailer begins on an uplifting note, showing Siaja determined to turn her life around. At work, she tells her boss, Helen, that she is ready to take on more responsibilities. Following her divorce, Siaja also becomes hopeful about finding love and is seen getting romantically involved with new characters.
Besides Lambe and Rajskub, North of North Season 2 stars Jay Ryan, Braeden Clarke, Maika Harper, Zorga Qaunaq, Bailey Poching, Nutaaq Doreen Simmonds, and Keira Belle Cooper.
The new season is directed by Zoe Leigh Hopkins, Jason Priestley, Lisa Jackson, and Yael Staav. It was co-created by Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril of Red Marrow Media. The show’s first season scored a mighty impressive 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“People constantly came up to me to hug me and let [me] know how proud they were of me and how exciting this was for the territory, for Inuit and Indigenous film and television,” Aglok MacDonald told Tudum.
“I wouldn’t have wanted to film it anywhere else because the outpouring of love and support we received was so empowering. It pushed us to make sure we did our best work and represented the community in the best way because, ultimately, this is who we created it for.”
North of North Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on November 5, 2026. It consists of eight 30-minute episodes.
