Tom Welling had a cheeky reaction after he mistakenly uploaded a revealing hotel room photo to Instagram, forgetting that windows can reflect everything.

On October 9, the 49-year-old actor shared a photo of the New York City skyline from his hotel room to his Instagram Stories with the caption “Hello NYCC” ahead of New York Comic Con. However, eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted his nude reflection in the window.

The post remained visible for about 10 hours before Welling removed it. Still, that window was more than enough for observant followers to notice the explicit mistake and spread screenshots across the internet.

Fan reactions quickly poured in under Covenant’s X (formerly Twitter) post, with some users cracking jokes while others admitted they were struggling to spot the reflection. A fan wrote, “Don’t worry Tom none of us forgot how hot you are.” Another echoed, “The way i went to instagram to see this.” Meanwhile, a follower tweeted, “Am I the only one not seeing anything?” Yet another X user commented, “It s barely visible though.”

Tom Welling has now addressed the incident himself, responding with a humorous comeback. Responding to Trevor Larcom’s video that teased the viral moment, the “Draft Day” actor quipped, “Came for the sights,” per Entertainment Tonight. He also reposted “Smallville” co-star Michael Rosenbaum’s recreation of the viral moment, which featured a placard placed over the crotch area that read “perverts.”

The “Superman” portrayer is currently in New York City for Comic-Con, where he joined his fellow “Smallville” cast members to mark the show’s 25th anniversary celebration. He has kept the superhero series’ legacy alive over the years, continuing to revisit it by co-hosting the “Talk Ville” rewatch podcast with Rosenbaum.
