Spurs can land fourth straight victory
Leeds’ start to the Premier League season can be described as solid, but certainly not spectacular.
Daniel Farke’s side have won once in nine matches in all competitions, and their 2-0 reverse against Bournemouth last Saturday means they have been shut out three times in five games.
Their 6-3 EFL Cup loss to Chelsea is the only time in which they have scored more than once in a game during that run.
The Whites have not enjoyed recent visits from Tottenham Hotspur, who have won three on the bounce at Elland Road. Spurs have also turned the corner in recent weeks, winning three straight matches to move into the top half of the table.
That is as many games as they had previously won in the whole of 2026, a quite remarkable statistic.
There had been positive signs for Spurs under Roberto De Zerbi before this run began, so it is not entirely unexpected. They have rediscovered the winning feeling, which they will be desperate to hold on to, especially with a favourable fixture list on the horizon.
I think the visitors are a good price at 7/4 to secure a fourth straight victory. Leeds’ home record is impressive – they are on a nine-game unbeaten run – but they have been particularly uninspiring of late, struggling to score goals.
The fact that Jan Paul van Hecke is Spurs’ top scorer with two goals shows they have not found it easy either, but they have created plenty of chances and dominated games.
In my opinion, Tottenham will have just enough to see off Leeds and there could be some frustration brewing among the Elland Road faithful afterwards.
