A group of investors, including KKR co-founders Henry Kravis and George Roberts, has “bought a 42% stake” in La Liga club Valencia at an enterprise value of $1.4B. Consortium Pitchwise Holdings is acquiring the stake from the club’s majority owner, Meriton Holdings. Meriton, led by billionaire Peter Lim, will remain the majority shareholder of the club, and his son Kiat Lim will “continue as president of the new ownership group.” The new backers will provide $112M in “fresh capital that will be available for immediate investment into the club” (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 10/23). Latham & Watkins advised Meriton Holdings on the deal (Latham & Watkins).
