During Milan Fashion Week, eBay brought together the city’s fashion, media and creative communities at Spazio Maiocchi to celebrate the launch of its Authenticity Guarantee in Italy.
The evening, titled listed, marked the introduction of the service for eligible fashion and luxury purchases on eBay.it, giving shoppers greater confidence when discovering pre-owned and luxury pieces across handbags, accessories, apparel, sneakers and watches.
Eligible items carrying the Authenticity Guarantee badge are physically inspected by professional authenticators at no additional cost, adding another layer of reassurance to the experience of buying fashion through the platform.
At the centre of the evening was an archival luxury fashion selection curated by Tamu McPherson, bringing together rare, iconic and unexpected pieces sourced from eBay. The edit reflected the continuing appeal of fashion discovery through vintage, archival and pre-owned pieces.
The event brought together a mix of Italian fashion editors, designers, stylists, creatives and cultural figures, including Stefano Marcovaldi, Jordan Anderson, Kim-Lillian Strebel Troxler, Annalisa Pistolesi, Vanessa Bolognini, Leonardo Bertucelli, Anouk Jans, Rocky Xu and Eni Subair.
eBay’s GM of European Fashion & Luxury, Kirsty Keoghan, also attended alongside Tamu McPherson and members of the eBay team, with the evening providing a space to explore how authenticity continues to shape the way consumers discover and collect fashion.
The celebration extended beyond the fashion edit itself, with food curated by Eugenio Boer and drinks by San Milano, while music from STILL and MBODJ carried the evening into the night.
The Milan activation continues through a series of press appointments, including a panel featuring Tamu McPherson and Kirsty Keoghan, moderated by Eni Subair, alongside an eBay live shopping experience with A.N.G.E.L.O. Vintage Palace.
With its Milan Fashion Week activation, eBay positions authenticity as an increasingly important part of the pre-owned and luxury fashion experience, bringing together fashion discovery, archival pieces and a creative community under one roof.
