Last night, the CFDA Awards took place in New York to showcase American fashion’s biggest and brightest. Industry insiders gathered alongside a star-studded guest list at the American Museum of Natural History to honor the creatives and innovators in fashion.
The awards not only celebrate the established labels leading the way, but are also a place to honor emerging designers ready to take off. The accolades of the night included international designer of the year, awarded to Anthony Vaccarello; the lifetime achievement award to photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and the icon award to architect Peter Marino.
But before that all happened, the celebs hit the red carpet, showing up in their glamorous best. There were lots of pared-back classics, with monochromatic palettes, but with Vaccarello in the house, some standout gold looks added an extra level of extravagance.
