Anya Taylor-Joy Pressures Chris Evans to Jump Into a Volcano In New Sacrifice Video From Netflix

A comical scene featuring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Evans from their new Netflix flick is going viral. The snippet is from Sacrifice, in which the Furiosa actress stars as Joan, a zealot on a mission to save the world from a fiery reckoning, while the Red One actor plays Mike Tyler, a film star kidnapped by Joan.

In a clip shared by Netflix on X, Taylor-Joy’s Joan pressures and kidnaps Evans’ Mike to offer him to an active volcano. She says, “The mountain of fire guides me. It is famished, and without the proper sacrifice by the next red moon, it will eat us all. So, we must offer you into its magma.”

This prompts Vincent Cassel‘s Ben Bracken to explain to Mike what she meant, saying, “They want to throw us in a volcano.” But then Joan counterargues, “No. We’re throwing you into a volcano. The king is thrown by force, but the hero chooses his own fate,” emphasizing that Mike is the hero.

To this, a terrified Mike tells her, “I think you’re wrong,” to which Yung Lean’s Arthur intervenes with a shout, “Joan has never been wrong!” Then Ambika Mod‘s terror-stricken Katie/Daughter Nature, an unlucky woman kidnapped by Joan, asks what will happen to her, to which Joan hilariously replies with a straight face, “Thrown by many adoring hands.”
