Broadcaster Jung jun-ha faced an unexpected situation while traveling in Hong Kong when he had no cash and had to borrow money.
On the 29th, a video titled “[먹어서 세계속으로] SIKSIN walks and dips into Hong Kong’s street food fight” was released on Jung jun-ha’s YouTube channel.
That day, Jung jun-ha and chef Kwon Seong-jun roamed Hong Kong’s streets tasting a variety of local foods. It showed them enjoying a local Hong Kong atmosphere different from familiar tourist spots such as the Mid-Levels or the Kowloon Peninsula.
But an unexpected problem occurred for Jung jun-ha while enjoying street food: he had not prepared cash and could not make a payment.
Eventually Jung jun-ha borrowed cash from his companions, saying, “I’ll give it back when I get to Korea. Don’t worry,” which drew laughter. He added, “Celebrity Jung jun-ha is borrowing money in Hong Kong because he has no money,” self-deprecating about his situation and enhancing the hilarity.
Based on his experience, Jung jun-ha left advice for those preparing to travel to Hong Kong. He emphasized that, “everyone should know this well,” and that they should prepare cash in advance.
He said that, in particular, from his own travel experience there were places that did not accept card payments, so it is advisable to carry cash when using street food stalls or local shops.
Having even experienced an unexpected “cash shortage,” Jung jun-ha continued his mukbang trip, tasting street foods across Hong Kong with chef Kwon Seong-jun.
