Sean “Diddy” Combs was rushed from the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in New Jersey to a nearby hospital after hitting his head on a bunk bed.

According to Page Six, a source told that the 56-year-old rapper struck his head on the upper bunk in his prison cell. Despite the impact, he remained conscious throughout the incident and is now reported to be in stable condition and out of danger.

The report came after TMZ revealed that Combs was taken out of the prison facility early Saturday morning due to an apparent medical emergency.

A spokesperson for the Grammy winner confirmed that the circumstances surrounding the incident are being reviewed and said they are aware of all reports regarding his health.

“Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”

Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation for prostitution. Since the beginning of the case, he has repeatedly and strongly denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

The controversy surrounding Diddy behind bars

The incident comes just weeks after NBC News reported that the Bad Boy Records founder was allegedly receiving special treatment while incarcerated.

According to four anonymous inmates cited by the outlet, the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper had other prisoners cleaning his cell and preparing his meals, while also enjoying access to premium liquor, antidepressants, and even a cellphone.

“This is not some normal s–t you see in jail,” one source said. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”

Following those reports, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on Combs’ prison conditions, citing privacy and security reasons.

TMZ later reported that Combs had been returned to solitary confinement, while Page Six revealed that his projected release date had been pushed back from January 21, 2028, to March 2, 2028.

The outlet also reported that the music mogul received multiple disciplinary violations for alleged fights and unauthorized cellphone use while in prison.

As a result, Combs reportedly lost 400 days of commissary privileges, which allow inmates to purchase snacks and personal items, along with 41 days of good-time credit that could have reduced the length of his sentence.
