Sylvester Stallone is back as a mobster, plus new Tyler Perry shows and more in Paramount+ releases this week.
The Paramount+ Original Series Tulsa King returns for Season 4 on October 16. In the upcoming season, Dwight “The General” Manfredi works to go legit and keep his crew safe. Rivals raid his empire, and allies betray him, forcing Dwight to rely on his New York instincts.
The cast features Sylvester Stallone, Gretchen Mol, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Garrett Hedlund, Dana Delany, Frank Grillo, and Vincent Piazza. Andrea Savage, Annabella Sciorra, Kevin Pollak, Neal McDonough, Elijah Everett, Pat McAfee, and Eden Lee complete the lineup.
October 14 brings a Tyler Perry marathon to Paramount+ with Assisted Living Seasons 1-6, and House of Payne Seasons 7-12. Assisted Living follows Jeremy Wilson, who, after losing his job, moves his wife, Leah, and their teens to rural Georgia to help his eccentric grandfather, Vinny. When they get there, they learn Vinny blew his savings on a rundown assisted living home. With help from Mr. Brown and Cora, they restore the home into a thriving business.
Meanwhile, House of Payne Seasons 7-12 track the family as it shifts from its original TBS run to its BET revival. The storylines largely center on the younger generation as they navigate love, marriage, and parenthood.
Additionally, this week’s Paramount+ release, Wildling, brings the horror ahead of Halloween. The 2018 dark fantasy horror follows Anna, played by Bel Powley. Brad Dourif plays a man who raised her in isolation and taught her to call him Daddy. He keeps her locked in one room and gives her injections to suppress her hormones. He claims this protects her from a child-eating creature called the “Wildling.”
