It’s a rite of passage in any friendship for two people to show up to a function looking like they’re dressed for entirely different occasions. Last night, after a long day of All’s Fair press in New York City, Kim Kardashian put on her best little black fit and headed out to meet up with Jennifer Lawrence—who looked ready for a cozy night in.
For Kardashian, who has been spending her week promoting the second season of her legal drama, the night off from press didn’t mean a night off from designer moments. Rounding out her collection of vintage Paco Rabanne and couture statements, the reality star-turned-actor changed into an Hermès Autumn/Winter 2004 crocodile jacket by Jean Paul Gaultier. The outerwear, sourced from Shanghai-based vintage seller Arch Couture, was cut with a raw, asymmetrical hem and secured with a zip closure.
Kardashian wore the top with leggings and pointed-toe heels. But of course, one iconic piece of fashion history wasn’t enough, and she finished things off with another rare JPG for Hermès find: a brown crocodile east-west Birkin from the same era.
Lawrence, on the other hand, kept things relaxed, showing up in her favorite ivory silk quilted coat from the Row’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection and a vintage graphic tee (printed with a cat). She maximized comfort with a pair of loose-fit trousers and furry Valentino flip flops, and accessorized with a sky-blue velvet scarf and black patent-leather bag.
Later, however, the two stars synched up, changing into matching Skims pajamas and fluffy brown robes.
