Sydney Sweeney just dropped another Cindy Lou Who video, and the internet has thoughts. The actress shared a new holiday campaign for her lingerie brand that offers fans an early Christmas surprise.

Sydney Sweeney shares new video as Cindy Lou Who for Syrn

Sydney Sweeney’s lingerie brand SYRN shared a new video on Instagram promoting its holiday collection. The brand’s caption read, “Our gift to you: early access to All I Want Is Plaid, available NOW.” The video continues the Cindy Lou Who-inspired campaign from How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Sweeney rocks red-and-black plaid lingerie pieces with oversized bows in the new promotional video. She also pairs the look with a white fur-trimmed cape and thigh-high stockings. Meanwhile, decorated Christmas trees, wrapped gifts, and Christmas lights round out the festive setting.

Sweeney first unveiled the Cindy Lou Who-inspired look on October 21. The original advertisement featured her wearing plaid pajamas and a festive cape while carrying gifts. Additionally, another scene showed her decorating a Christmas tree in a Corpse Bride-inspired outfit.

However, the campaign drew online criticism after its initial launch. Many commenters pointed out that Cindy Lou Who is traditionally portrayed as a young child. Despite the backlash, the brand has now released five additional photos and videos for the collection.

Notably, this is not the first time a Sweeney advertisement has stirred controversy. Her 2025 American Eagle campaign faced significant online backlash. Furthermore, her Novig ads also attracted criticism, including from Euphoria co-star Sharon Stone. Stone called out the broader issue of women in gambling advertising at the time.

SYRN’s latest post has already racked up over 9,600 likes and 78 comments in just 14 hours. Fan responses range from compliments to suggestions for future products. One commenter even pitched the idea of Sweeney starring in a Grinch remake alongside Jim Carrey. The brand continues to push forward with the holiday campaign despite the ongoing discourse around the Cindy Lou Who imagery.
