Man, 2026 has been a rough year for losing celebrities. The tragic passing of Catherine O’Hara came with the news that she — like fellow Canadian Norm Macdonald — was battling cancer privately. Maybe the Canadian over-politeness in them didn’t want to be a bother, or the comedian in them didn’t want to be a downer.

We get it though. Health is a personal issue, and we don’t have a right to know anything about their personal lives. It’s just… As fact-finders, it’s tough to know that we couldn’t find that fact.
