Remotely Managed Senior Phones: HMD Adds Family Assist to the Nokia 2360 Flip

HMD is introducing remotely managed senior phones with the Nokia 2360 Flip, a mobile device that combines straightforward controls with family assistance. Its Family Assist feature allows relatives to configure phone settings remotely through a companion app, helping older users manage everyday communication without navigating complicated smartphone menus.

The device includes large physical buttons, clear text, and a dedicated SOS key that can contact up to five emergency contacts. Family members can also manage approved contacts, adjust settings, and restrict certain functions, including camera access and mobile data. These features create a more controlled experience while maintaining essential calling capabilities.

For HMD, the phone expands opportunities within the senior-focused mobile market by addressing accessibility and family support needs. Remote setup may reduce troubleshooting difficulties for caregivers, while familiar flip-phone controls and emergency features offer older consumers a simpler way to stay connected.
