DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A Daytona Beach woman was arrested after a social media post threatening to shoot President Donald Trump at the rally Friday evening.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said Allison Albro, 21, posted on social media Thursday that she was “going to the Trump rally in my city (tomorrow) so I can shoot him with my glock!”

Sheriff Mike Chitwood says Albro told VSO’s domestic security unit and the U.S. Secret Service that she was joking and didn’t have access to a Glock or any other weapon.

Albro was arrested for charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device.

“I would strongly advise anyone else thinking of posting a “joke” along these lines to think twice,” Chitwood wrote on Facebook. ”VSO continues to work hand in hand with the Secret Service, FBI and all our law enforcement partners to ensure this presidential visit to Daytona Beach is a safe event for all who attend, and for our whole community.”

Trump is hosting a rally at the Ocean Center Friday at 7 p.m.
