I’ve found the cheapest iPhone Duo deals in the UK

Apple’s most expensive iPhone has arrived. The iPhone Duo, which sold out within minutes of pre-orders going live and is now showing delivery dates as far back as January at the Apple Store, is the first folding phone the tech giant has ever made, and everyone seemingly wants one.

With prices starting at a whopping £1,999, the iPhone Duo doesn’t come cheap. And while getting your hands on one is continuing to prove difficult, there are still ways to save some money on Apple’s first foldable, whether that be with a monthly contract or trading in at a retailer.

I’ve been tracking iPhone Duo stock and deals at all the major UK retailers and mobile carriers since pre-orders first went live. Below, I’ve rounded up all the cheapest iPhone Duo contracts, biggest trade-in discounts and earliest delivery dates. These are the best iPhone Duo deals I’ve found so far, plus where you can get one.

The iPhone Duo is almost impossible to find in the UK, but some retailers are expected to restock the phone next month. Some customers have also reported securing an iPhone Duo by popping into their local Apple Store and asking about availability, so that’s worth a go as well.

In terms of third-party retailers, John Lewis says on its iPhone Duo listing that it expects more stock to arrive on 27 November, and Currys expects a limited number of devices to arrive in mid-November. Some retailers let you sign up for restock alerts.

Currys told me it had seen “unprecedented demand” for Apple’s first foldable. “We do have a limited amount of stock expected in mid-November, but to secure your place in the queue, we recommend ordering through Carphone Warehouse, where you’ll receive the latest information on expected delivery dates,” said David Sidebottom, senior buyer at Currys. He adds that customers can also visit their local Currys store and speak to a member of staff for the latest advice on stock availability and delivery dates.

To make comparing trade-in offers easier, I’ve based the values below on trading in an iPhone 17 Pro Max with 2TB of storage in good working condition. The exact amount you’ll receive will depend on the phone you have and the condition of your handset.

  • Apple Store: Earliest delivery by 22 January; trade-in value up to £855
  • Amazon: Trade-in value up to £865
  • Currys: Earliest delivery by mid-November; trade-in value up to £840
  • John Lewis: Earliest arrival by 27 November; trade-in value up to £756
  • Very: Trade-in value up to £756
  • Argos: Trade-in value up to £776

  • Carphone Warehouse: Earliest delivery by 26 November; trade-in value up to £840
  • Three: Earliest delivery by 20 January; trade-in value up to £1,035

Best Carphone Warehouse iPhone Duo deals

(Reuters)

Carphone Warehouse has one of the best-value iPhone Duo deals I’ve found, especially if you’d rather pay off the phone over 24 months instead of being tied down for years and years.

You can get the iPhone Duo with 100GB of data on iD Mobile for £85.99 per month with a £129 up-front cost. Over a 24-month contract, that works out at £2,192.76, before any scheduled price rises. That’s just £193.76 more than buying the handset outright, meaning you’re effectively paying around £8.07 per month for 100GB of data.

The iD Mobile plan includes unlimited calls and texts, data rollover and free roaming in eligible destinations. Carphone Warehouse also offers a trade-in value up to £840 to help bring down the cost of Apple’s first foldable.

Best Sky Mobile iPhone Duo deals

(Alex Lee/The Independent)

Sky Mobile has some of the cheapest starting prices on the iPhone Duo, particularly if you don’t need heaps of data each month. The cheapest deal starts from £48 per month with 1GB of data and a £12 up-front cost. If you need a more generous data allowance, you can get 75GB for £61 per month. Both contracts last 48 months, although the data plans have a 24-month minimum term.

Sky Mobile also has some nice perks. You can roll unused data into your Sky Piggybank, change your data plan whenever you like and stream on Sky apps without eating into your allowance. You can also trade in your old handset, with the value credited to your Sky Mobile account.

Best EE iPhone Duo deals

(Apple)

EE is usually one of the priciest mobile networks when it comes to phone contracts, and its iPhone Duo deals are no exception. However, spreading the cost over 48 months can bring the bill down considerably.

The cheapest deal I found costs £73.57 per month with 25GB of data and a £30 up-front cost. If you’d rather have unlimited data, it’ll cost you £76.57 per month. EE is also offering up to £624 when you trade in an eligible handset, and BT broadband customers can get a further 30 per cent off selected plans.

All plans include unlimited calls and texts, access to EE’s 5G+ network and the ability to gift unused data to family members.

Best Three iPhone Duo deals

Three has some of the most generous trade-in incentives among the major carriers, although its iPhone Duo contracts aren’t the cheapest around.

The iPhone Duo starts from £74.44 per month with 30GB of data and a £100 up-front cost, spread over 36 months. If you want unlimited data, you’ll pay £83.44 per month instead. Three has also advertised combined savings of up to £1,035 when you trade in an eligible handset and choose an unlimited plan.

All plans include unlimited calls and texts, 5G at no extra cost and access to Three+ Rewards. Selected plans also include roaming in 49 European destinations and an extended warranty.

Best Vodafone iPhone Duo deals

(Reuters)

Vodafone has some competitive iPhone Duo deals, particularly if you’ve got an old smartphone to trade in. Unlike Three, you don’t need to sign up for an unlimited data plan to take advantage of its trade-in offers.

The cheapest deal I found costs £73.08 per month with 30GB of data and a £100 up-front cost, spread over 48 months. Vodafone also offers a £50 trade-in bonus on the iPhone Duo. When I checked, an iPhone 17 Pro Max with 2TB of storage in good working condition was worth £790, bringing the total potential saving to £840.

Vodafone customers also get access to VeryMe Rewards, while selected plans include additional roaming benefits and entertainment subscriptions
