Actress Susan Saint James died on Monday at age 80 following a bout with pancreatic cancer. Saint James appeared as a guest commentator at WrestleMania 2 for the New York portion of the three-city show. A rep for Saint James confirmed her death to People.com.

Powell’s POV: Saint James was married to former NBC executive Dick Ebersol for 45 years. Ebersol was the producer of the WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event series and helped launch the show on NBC. I remember my mom being a fan of the Kate & Allie sitcom that ran on CBS and featured Saint James and Jane Curtin. The show ran for six seasons from 1984-1989. Saint James previously starred with Rock Hudson in the McMillan & Wife crime series. My condolences to her family and friends.
