Donald Trump‘s grandson Joseph Kushner celebrated his 13th birthday at the White House on October 14, 2026, but it was his remarkable likeness to Barron Trump that stole the show.
Mom Ivanka took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from the teen’s birthday dinner, which featured Joseph with his mom, dad Jared, and his grandpa

“An unforgettable birthday dinner for Joseph, hosted by Grandpa at the White House,” Ivanka captioned the post. However, it was the second picture that led to the comparison, as Joseph stood with his hands by his side in front of the White House in his dark grey suit.
The teen, who appeared to be quickly outgrowing his suit as the sleeves fell higher than his wrists and the pants sat above his ankles, also posed alongside his grandfather in the Oval Office, evoking past images of Barron with his father.

Joseph is the son of Ivanka, Donald’s eldest daughter, and Barron is his youngest son.
During Trump’s second administration, Ivanka has stepped back from her role as a senior advisor and now lives full-time in the exclusive gated enclave Indian Creek Island of Miami, which is referred to as the “Billionaire’s Bunker”.

It is where she is raising her three children – daughter Arabella, 16, 13-year-old Joseph, and 10-year-old son Theodore – after they spent their early years in New York before moving to DC when she worked in the White House between 2017 and 2021.
Three months after Trump left office, she and Jared purchased a six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom compound on the island for $24 million before gutting the entire property to transform it into an enviable home for five.
Barron was also raised between New York and Florida, attending Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School before graduating from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, three hours north of Miami, in May 2024.
He has since returned to the mid-Atlantic region, studying at New York University’s Stern School of Business for his freshman year in Manhattan before transferring to a DC campus for his sophomore year.

Barron, whose mom is Donald’s third wife Melania, is closer in age to his nieces and nephews than his step-siblings, and has a warm relationship with them; on Trump’s inauguration day in 2017, he was seen playing peek-a-boo with Theodore, and has been spotted holding hands with Joseph on the South Lawn.
“Now with Barron here they have so much fun together, and they are so young. They’re really just kids. So they are just enjoying it,” Ivanka shared in 2017 after their move to DC.
“Hearing their laughter chasing after Barron or poor Joseph, his tears because Barron and Arabella don’t wait for him and he’s three and a half. They’ll send him on random chases and distract him and send him off in different directions. They traumatize Joseph a little bit.”

His youth and Gen Z attitude also influence his father and family; Barron has been credited with introducing Trump and his sons, Don Jr. and Eric, to cryptocurrency, which has led to the family raising their net worth by hundreds of millions in 12 months.
Lara Trump, his sister-in-law, revealed on her podcast in April that Barron enjoys discussing AI and moral technology issues at the dinner table and is often having to explain how to tell if an image is AI.
“In fact, we had a huge discussion at dinner on Sunday night at the White House about whether a certain image, I won’t tell you what it is, was AI or real,” she said. “And Barron and I were the only two that said, ‘That’s AI. You guys are all wrong. It’s AI.’ We were right. Proved it that night.”

His niece, Kai, who is only a year younger than him, has also been inspired by Barron and recently took steps into her own business venture, releasing a line of Accelerator Active Energy drinks in June, inspired by a “childhood love of blue raspberry movie theater slushies”.
Barron dropped his own line of drinks – SOLLOS – that same week.
