WASHINGTON (7News) — President Donald Trump announced that restoration work on the White House facade is complete, sharing photos Thursday on Truth Social of a new South Entrance and heliport.
Trump said the north and south facades had suffered wear and damage over the years, and that missing or deteriorated exterior details had been restored.
He said the work would give the White House “many decades of additional life” and added that he was “very proud” to have overseen it.

“The exterior walls and ornamentation, both missing and in bad condition, has been fully restored to the Highest Level, giving the White House many decades of additional life! It had to be done, and I am very proud to be the President who did it!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump also said the White House ballroom and “Military Complex” project is on time and on budget, calling it a major addition to the White House.
Reports first surfaced in May that a permanent helipad was being planned for the South Lawn to help prevent the new Marine One helicopters from scorching the grass.

During an August tour of the helipad construction site, Trump signed one of the granite slabs. He said his signature, along with those of project leaders, would be placed on the back of the eagle in the U.S. seal and would not be visible once the project was complete.
