Streamlined Computer Coding Apps: Google Adds Antigravity to Gemini App for MacOS

Google is bringing Antigravity into the Gemini app for macOS, letting Mac users open its coding workspace without leaving Gemini. Instead of switching to a separate desktop app, they can launch the full Antigravity environment inside Gemini to build apps, web projects and other software work. The integration arrives alongside Gemini 4 Argon, whose stronger coding abilities are tied to the change.

In the latest macOS version, a Liquid Glass button in the upper right opens Antigravity and closes it again when users are done. Gemini 4 Argon needs AI Pro or higher, while Antigravity access sits in AI Ultra. The app also adds a Chat/Task switcher, with Task replacing the old Gemini Spark name.

Antigravity built into the macOS Gemini app turns separate coding and agent work into one desktop workflow for developers already using Gemini. AI Ultra-only access keeps the most build-oriented feature as a premium differentiator while making the Mac app itself a stronger hub for Google’s AI software.
