Wealthy Fashion Show Celebrates Black Excellence, Entrepreneurs and Giving Back – Free Press of Jacksonville

Model Carlisia Mukes walked the runway with a Paris Fashion Week appeal modeling the couture suit by Arminious.

Fashion met philanthropy as Jacksonville Designers Arminius Patterson and Gabriel Rozier hosted the fourth annual ‘Wealthy Fashion Show,’ on October 3, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA).

The black-tie affair brought together fashion enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and community supporters for an evening of custom designs, networking and creative expression.  Models showcased made-to-order fashions from Arminius, highlighting the talents of the two Duval County natives.

Patterson, a schoolteacher and tailor, and Rozier, a designer whose passion began in his youth, opened their downtown fashion house at 25 N. Market Street in 2020. Their brands include Audacious by Arminius, Dapper Down to Earth and Young Black Wealthy.

Beyond the runway, organizers presented a $3,000 donation to the Mitch 22 Foundation, established in memory of Larry “Mitch” Roziers II. The nonprofit supports youth and families through mentoring, advocacy and educational assistance.

The evening underscored the designers commitment to building Black-owned business while creating opportunities and investing in the next generation.
