FALL RIVER, Mass. (WJAR) — A judge ruled on a trademark infringement case between the Lizzie Borden House and Miss Lizzie’s Coffee in Fall River.
The Lizzie Borden House’s owner, US Ghost Adventures, sued the coffee shop in 2023, claiming trademark infringement.

US Ghost Adventures claimed that the coffee shop’s use of the name and some imagery would confuse customers into thinking the businesses were related.
Last week, a judge ruled that the coffee shop must pay the Lizzie Borden House more than $31,000 in legal fees. The coffee shop can remain open under its name and logo.
Miss Lizzie’s Coffee has since moved to a different location.
