Atalanta’s 3-1 win over Venezia came at a cost: Raoul Bellanova and Giorgio Scalvini were both forced off injured, and Eljif Elmas will miss Sunday’s trip to Milan.
As noted by TuttoMercatoWeb, the two defenders both suffered muscle problems and were replaced at the same time by Lorenzo Bernasconi and Sead Kolasinac in the 67th minute.
Both will have tests in the coming hours to establish the extent of the injuries.

Elmas red card rules him out of Atalanta’s Milan clash
Elmas made matters worse late on. The North Macedonian was initially booked for a reckless challenge in the 89th minute, but VAR sent referee Paride Tremolada to the monitor and he upgraded it to a straight red.
That rules him out of Sunday’s meeting with Ruben Amorim’s Milan at San Siro.
It’s a blow for Maurizio Sarri, whose side had just ended a run of three straight defeats. Atalanta face Pafos in the Conference League on Thursday as part of a run of eight games in 24 days.
Scalvini had played every minute of Atalanta’s league campaign before Monday.
