Samsung has posted a cryptic video on social media showing various people dancing inside a rectangle of light matching the proportions of a Galaxy Z Fold 8.
One of those people is J-Hope, a member of the hugely popular Korean band, BTS.
He was already part of Samsung’s marketing campaign for the device, and even posted a teaser holding the phone before the Unpacked event where it was officially unveiled.
The post says “Curious what’s coming? 👀 Worth the wait ✨ Coming soon. Ready to unfold?”

That doesn’t mean all that much, but it certainly isn’t just more generic ongoing marketing to convince people to buy the phone. It’s clearly something new and our best guess is a special edition in collaboration with J-Hope.
This could be a new colour (the one shown appears to be the existing Lavender one we reviewed) and we wouldn’t be surprised if there were other flourishes to the design; perhaps a signature etched in the back as well as exclusive software like wallpapers.
