Parishae Adnan’s explosive collection was all about women’s agency and freedom of self-expression

AAM Fashion Week (LFW) continued in Lahore with a mix of retail-ready fashion, contemporary high-street labels and independent designer showcases. Day 2 opened with the LFW Retail Runway and LFW Edit, where labels including Allure by Izna Hamza, Truba, Hathghar and Beygum Bano took the stage.

The evening Designer Showcase brought Parishae Adnan, DUNO by Hassan & Yahsir Waheed, Emraan Rajput and Jugnu Studios by Hussain Rehar to the runway.

Out of the designer showcases, our personal favourite collection came from designer Parishae Adnan. She presented Ikhtiaar, a collection about women’s agency and freedom of self-expression. A palette of black and charcoal grey, lifted by metallic silver embellishments, chains, oversized medallions and ornate jewellery, set the tone, while sculpted waistcoats, voluminous trousers and sweeping skirts balanced sharp tailoring with fluidity. The collection framed power as the freedom to define oneself. Jugnu Studios by Hussain Rehar closed the evening with Rabbits with Flowers, a playful, deliberately unpredictable collection built around oddities, unlikely combinations and the joy of chasing curiosity.

Day 3 followed the same format. MISL, Agha Jaan and U&I by Umer Imrana were among the retail and edit labels, while the evening showcase featured Mo by Mohsin Tawasuli, Souchaj by Mehak Junaid, Rici Melion and Fahad Hussayn Print Museum.

Fahad Hussayn Print Museum concluded the evening with An Atlas of Empires, a couture collection tracing cultural influences across Central Asia, Persia, Afghanistan and the Indian subcontinent. Drawing on Lahore Fort and its layered histories, the collection reworked architectural geometry, floral motifs and ornamental details into contemporary silhouettes. The collection unfolded in three ranges: Qutlugh for Alta Moda drew on Central Asian and Chaghatay ancestry; Athdara for Casbah reinterpreted architectural motifs and Khanzada for Signature Weddings featured intricate geometry and layered ornament.

Here are some of the looks from Parishae Adnan’s Day 2 Designer Showcase from LFW.
