Sveinbjorn Palsson has released a free iOS port of the Airwindows Consolidated plugin, featuring over 500 FXs by Chris Johnson.
AirWindows is a fascinating project by Chris Johnson. For years, he has developed a vast number of effect plugins funded via Patreon and released as a free download. Some time ago, BaconPaul from the Surge XT synth project consolidated these into the “Airwindows Consolidated” plugin.
Today, these effects are available on iOS. Sveinbjorn Palsson has ported the Airwindows Consolidated plugin to iOS and offers it as a free download.

Airwindows Consolidated is a new, free multi-FX processor for iOS (iPhone/iPad). This port by Sveinbjorn Palsson brings all the functionality of the desktop version of the Airwindows Consolidated plugin to Apple’s mobile platform.
Like the desktop version, it features the same library of over 500 hand-crafted effects by Chris Johnson. They are open-source and licensed under the MIT license.
It includes emulations and original designs of amps, filters, dynamic processors, delays, reverbs, and more. Each effect has a handful of parameters you can use to adjust it.
These are lined up in a dedicated browser with search and curated selections, so you can easily load the effects.
Airwindows Consolidated isn’t exactly an eye-catching app. There’s no fancy UI, no hardware mimicry, etc. It’s very basic with sliders and a browser—just like the desktop version. It comes in white and black.
A great feature is that you get a full description for each effect directly within the plugin interface. This lets you see exactly what the plugin does without consulting separate manuals.
First Impression
A fantastic release for the iOS world that enriches the mobile musician community with tons of quality hand-crafted free effects. Thanks a lot, Sveinbjorn, for this port.
Sveinbjorn Palsson Airwindows Consolidated is available now as a free download from the Apple App Store. It runs as a standalone and AUv3 plugin on iOS (iPhone/iPad).
