Barry Keoghan opens up about his skin-tightening treatment
Barry Keoghan has revealed details about his latest skincare treatment. He underwent a non-invasive procedure called XERF that uses radio frequency to tighten skin and boost collagen. The treatment doesn’t require needles or injections.
In a video shared by Nilam Holmes on Instagram, Keoghan discussed the procedure. He praised skincare specialist Nilam Holmes for her work. The actor also described his appointments as relaxing and therapeutic.
He said, “I mean, I’ve been hearing a lot about it. And Nilam is very excited about it, and she’s great at what she does. I really mean that, and again, every time I come in, it’s very relaxing and therapeutic. Nilam looks after my skin.”
Holmes also revealed that she has worked with Keoghan for some time and has helped care for his skin across different projects. According to the post, the latest session was his second XERF treatment.
Keoghan previously spoke about receiving abuse over his appearance online and has admitted the comments affected him. He said the negativity made him withdraw from public appearances. He also revealed that he sometimes avoids going outside.
The actor explained that the online abuse had become problematic, saying that “there’s a lot of hate online, a lot of abuse,” specifically about his looks. He added that the comments that he encountered had made him feel uncomfortable about attending events and public places.
